Setup
Paul elected to be blue player and picked his table edge, then we chose mission cards and ended up with:

Objectives were placed and deployments made.
Objectives marked with blue arrows ‘cos my poor camera work missed em all!

Turn 1 – Standing Orders (4) vs Push (2)
Paul takes the initiative and moves a safe squad for the supplies near the generators.

Wanting to delay moving up, I activated Veers and gave out some Aim tokens, taking a dodge to wrap up.

Paul activated a Walker and double moved into the light woods to secure a good firing position.

Taking the opportunity to get my troops into some cover and get a shot on the activated walker I moved up and fired, scoring 2 wounds on the AT-RT.

Paul double moved another Walker, clearly wanting to establish a solid firing line near the mid board.

I activate Vader and manoeuvre to cover 2 sets of supplies.

Paul moves up a squad of rebels, and I activate another squad of troopers, taking the first set of supplies.

More rebels push up next to the centre supplies…

…And Snow Troopers move up and prepare the Flame Thrower.

Paul’s last walker activates. It moves up and fires on my Storm troopers on the wood edge, killing 2 of them.

I move my other squad of Snow Troopers to support Vader – not because he needs it, but because he’d probably choke them all if they didn’t…

Paul moves up another squad…

..as the Speeder bikes skilfully skirt the wood and put another 3 damage on the already wounded AT-RT.

The rebels continue to manoeuvre into position as my last squad occupies another set of supplies.
At the end of turn 1, a good number of the rebel forces appear out of position and the imperials are set up quiet well defensively.

Turn 2 – Maximum Firepower (1) vs Ambush (1)
Paul wins the rolloff and worried about Veers nuking Luke, moves him first into a safer position that threatens multiple Imperial units.

Veers Hands out Aim tokens and then brings down the strike on the nearest walker, scoring 3 wounds!

Troopers on the Generators open up on the Speeder bikes, scoring 1 wound.

My troopers in the woods take aim and fire on the AT-RT, inflicting another wound.

Paul fires with the AT-RT in response, killing 2 of the Stormtroopers.
A 2nd squad of Stormtroopers move into position and finish off the Walker. 1 down, 2 to go!

Rebel troopers are eager to even the score. Moving onto a set of supplies, they open up on the approaching speeders and inflict 2 wounds, bringing one down.

The solo Speeder activates in response, flying over the woods to kill 2 rebels on the supplies and taking a dodge.

After taking some casualties from rebel fire, a beleaguered Storm Trooper squad comes under Walker attack… But their armour holds strong!

Vader decides to step into the fray, catching Luke with a Lightsaber throw for 2 wounds.

A Rebel squad moves on the Snow Troopers threatening Luke, ignoring Vader’s threat to try and secure the advantage. Only 1 Trooper falls.

The rearguard circle the Scrapyard dealer’s premises, moving towards their second set of supplies.

A rebel AT-RT turns and annihilates my last Speeder.
The Snow Troopers ‘guarding’ Vader suddenly realise why he pulled them with him. They push forward and reward the rebel squad’s bravery with flames and grenades, wiping them out utterly. At this point Luke is having flashbacks to Tattoine.

At the end of Turn 2, casualties are mounting but the imperials have the advantage, holding 2 sets of supplies to the Rebels’ 1, and having easy access to a 3rd.

Turn 3 – Master of Evil (3) vs Son of Skywalker (1)
I’m almost 100% certain Paul is going to play Son of Skywalker and go for Vader with a double attack. Not wanting to risk a roll-off, I go with Master of Evil to get Vader a dodge token.
Seeing what I’ve done, Luke instead dives on my Snow Troopers. With his double attack he wipes them out, then moves away from Vader.

Vader activates, striding into the scrap yard and using Force Push to pull Luke back closer.

Rebels move up and fire on Vader, securing another wound.

The remaining squad of SnowTroopers once again follows Vader’s lead, unleashing Flames and Grenades on Luke and leaving him on one wound.

The rest of the Rebels push up, wiping one Stormtrooper squad and wounding Veers as my Rearguard secure their 2nd set of supplies.
At the end of the turn, Luke is on the verge of death and very vulnerable, and the Imperials have 3 sets of supplies to the Rebels’ one.

Turn 4 – Implacable (1) vs My Ally is the Force (2)
Vader activates and executes Luke with steely eyes, taking a wound to place his order token back in the pile.

The rebels move up and take pot shots at Veers, but cannot secure any wounds.

The Snow troopers deftly climb the scrap heap and lay grenades on the Walker, bring it crashing down.

The Imperials end the turn solidly holding 3 objectives;

Whilst the Rebels finally swing their troopers into position.

It’s been a bloody fight so far.
Turn 5 – New Ways to Motivate them (2) vs Assault (3)
Vader activates and moves to block LOS to a Rebel squad whilst securing another set of supplies, nonchalantly tossing his Lightsaber at the last walker and inflicting 2 wounds.

The walker responds by moving and taking a shot at my Rearguard unit.

The rearguard responds, looking to inflict suppression on the un-activated rebel squad and succeeding.
The rebels pour fire on the Snow Troopers, leaving only 3 left. They respond by shedding their suppression, scaling the wall and moving on an exposed Rebel unit, leaving it with only it’s leader to smell the burning flesh of his comrades!

At the end of turn 5, Vader is left with 3 wounds and is quite exposed to 2 rebel squads; however, the Imperials hold 4 sets of supplies to the Rebel’s 1.

Turn 6 – Imperial Discipline (1) v Standing Orders (4)
Vader starts the turn by cheekily round the corner, downing the last AT-RT then moving back into cover!

More shots are exchanged but the Rebels have nothing left in the bag.

The game ends with the final score:
Imperials 4
Rebels 1
The Aftermath
Paul placemed of one of his supplies and then placed most of his army on the opposite side of the field from it, handing me quite an advantage from the get go. I left a good portion of his army on the far side of the field and concentrated in the middle.
A good game, men of the match were once again the Snow Troopers. Once they get in range they are absolutely lethal.
Can’t wait for the next one!
